There are valid arguments that a web series should not be just a short TV show. I personally think it depends on the story you’re telling, but utilizing the web’s inherent interactivity in serialized web video is a proven component of building an engaged audience with online content.
This morning I went for a long early morning hike. When I started at the bottom there was a guy who raced right past me, intent on jogging fast all the way up.
After some time, I saw him halfway up the trail, panting and out of breath. He turned around saying that the trail was too long, and the mountain too big.
I kept walking and eventually reached the top. It took me a while, but it was worth it. I got to see this view.
This seems to me a great analogy for the entertainment business.
And life, for that matter.

Looking forward to it. RT @JimMacLeod: Every year on 12/23 I draw Cyclops from the X-Men. Someday I’ll post them to Tumblr.
Been a long, long week, to a long, long year. Glad to be home and looking forward to recharging over the holidays.
